Work. Tangs — Sept 2014

One of the biggest retail department stores in Singapore – Tangs – wanted to take their business online with a new ecommerse website. DAN was charged with the job of putting together an immersive shopping experience.

There’s no greater pleasure for a designer than putting together a responsive shopping site. No idea why, it’s just like that. The new Tangs website had to reflect a new contemporary branding, while looking fresh and modern for the online world. It had to be a seemless experience accross all devices.

I designed the homepage to be a long, flowing explorative experience – featureing the latest and greatest from Tangs various departments.

products

I wanted the product page to be just as impressive as the homepage, and without size restrictions – that means, full width.

I also included quick preview functionality - something which for me is hugely useful.

mobile

The vast majority of users are women, as you'd expect. And we knew that alot of the time the traffic came from mobile devices.

I guess this is usual behavour for people who are driving. In fact I've seen this in action. So, our website had to accomodate to this behavour.
